About Chess-Ray
Chess-Ray is an independent statistics platform for online chess tournaments on Chess.com — Titled Tuesday, Freestyle Friday, and 3 0 Thursday blitz events. We track wins, prizes, and performance across thousands of players to make competitive chess data more accessible and fun to explore.
What you can find here
An interactive leaderboard with filters by year, tournament type, title, federation, and rating. Sort by wins, prize money, win rate, or activity — and customize which metrics you see. Year-over-year deltas show how players improve or decline between seasons.
Tournaments covered
- Titled Tuesday 3+1 and 5+0 — weekly elite events on Chess.com, part of the Esports World Cup
- Freestyle Friday — weekly Fischer random (Chess960) tournament
- 3 0 Thursday — three weekly blitz events without increment
Coverage starts from January 2023, updated within 24 hours after each event.
Chess-Ray Rating
Each player receives a Chess-Ray performance rating calculated using a method similar to FIDE Elo — based on results against rated opponents across all tracked tournaments. The rating reflects long-term performance rather than a single event result.
